Godalming Museum

Heritage Open Day: Join us at Godalming Museum and explore the local history of our delightful town. Godalming Museum was founded in 1921 and is located opposite the Old Town Hall, affectionately known as the Pepperpot. The museum is a friendly and welcoming place for all to visit and tells the story of Godalming and the surrounding area. Our fascinating galleries explore the way the town has developed since prehistoric times, and tell the stories of famous Godalming residents such as the famous garden designer Gertrude Jekyll, and the Titanic’s wireless operator Jack Phillips. Visitors can relax with a hot drink in our coffee shop, get some sun in our Jekyll-inspired walled garden, and buy locally sourced gifts and souvenirs in our shop.
