Tewkesbury Abbey – behind the scenes

Heritage Open Day: A chance to see objects and areas of the Abbey that are not usually on display to the public. A unique opportunity to view areas of the Abbey not usually open to the public. Gain access to the Sacristy to see the famous Sacristy door which is covered with horse armour salvaged after the Battle of Tewkesbury in 1471. There is even a hole on the right side above the horizontal strap caused by an arrow.
