Former Library and Technical Institute

Heritage Open Day: The renovation and conversion of this historic building is well underway now.

This is a special chance to see behind the boards and. the conversion to residential use taking place. A very special opportunity! This wonderful Grade II listed building, opened in 1904 with support from Andrew Carnegie, once housed Brierley Hill Library and Technical Institute.

The building has been closed for best part of a decade, but is due to have renovation work undertaken as part of the town’s Heritage Action Zone.

This will be a special opportunity to see inside one of Brierley Hill’s favourite buildings as it undergoes conversion for residential use under the careful eye of the borough's conservation officers.
