Heritage Open Day: Tudor Textiles - Bedfellows project. Come and see our Tudor style embroidered curtains and counterpane in the bedchamber created by the Bedfellows group and completed in March 2024 and meet the embroiderers! The Tudor style curtains and counterpane that dress the tester bed in our bedchamber, was a project conceived in 2019. The design of the curtains was inspired by 16th and early 17th century textile design - a tree, its branches filled with leaves and insects and animals running beneath the tree, hang at the head of the bed.
