Heritage Open Day: A Family Tree with Yorkshire roots. I first became interested in genealogy at college and, over the years, using modern technology, have dipped in and out, sometimes finding new details about family members, past & present, at other times meeting ‘brick walls’.
Family and friends often provide information & interesting stories, but it’s always wise to check for any inaccuracies. Genealogical records are readily available via the internet these days, and publication of the 1921 census has helped to fit more pieces into the jigsaw. Even to trace back to great-great-grandparents is to learn about a blood line of 30 people, which multiplies the further back one goes.
