Dead Man’s Cell Phone by Sarah Ruhl
A story about a woman named Jean who gets caught in a whirlwind of events after she answers a ringing cell phone in a café. The phone belonged to a man named Gordon who had passed away in the cafe, and before she knew it, Jean became a source of comfort and support for Gordon's friends and family.
As the story unfolds, Jean finds herself immersed in the quirky and complex world of the deceased, leading to unexpected twists and turns. Throughout it all, she's forced to reevaluate her beliefs about life, morality, and the importance of human connection in our modern, tech-obsessed society.
This play is full of humor and imagination, and it's definitely worth checking out. It does contain some adult themes and language. It's a heartwarming and slightly offbeat tale about love, loss, and the unpredictable journey of life.
