Fair Oriana Under The Moon
This special evening features incredible classical music group Fair Oriana, performing at Blackburn Cathedral under a Sculpture of the Moon.
By the silvery light of the Museum of the Moon sculpture, Fair Oriana have taken this concept as inspiration for an atmospheric moon-themed programme of baroque music, which celebrates the sound of the pure soprano voice, and the unique sound of ancient instruments, accompanied by a team of highly virtuosic instrumentalists.
Featuring narrator, Timothy Vaughan, we tell the story of the journey of Venus, as she travels through the night sky as the morning and evening star.
This very special concert Under The Moon will feature both well known and more diverse repertoire, spanning opera, oratorio, chamber music and song.
Entry to this concert also is a chance to see the installation of Museum of The Moon at nighttime, when it will be at its most atmospheric.
