Weird and Wonderful Wood 2026
The award winning Weird and Wonderful Wood returns in May to delight visitors young and old with beautiful handmade wood crafts, over 150 stalls, demonstrations, free workshops, live music, spontaneous happenings and local food & drink. A magical celebration of all things wood, from fine furniture and sculpture to archery, tree climbing and coracle making. There’s huge surprises around every corner! You can see the best street theatre in the UK along with our acoustic stage and buskers corner combined with crafts and craftspeople to create a magical day out.
Join in and learn to drum, build with clay, learn to hula hoop, do a willow workshop, make a mini garden, try archery, use a spoke shave, build with scrap wood, make a puppet, hear a story, watch a show, whittle a spoon, test your strength, climb a tree with Monkey Do, play giant games, meet a fairy, see a mechanical dragon, make friends with a cavewoman, and more.
All activities while you are at the event are free!
