It's the greatest love story ever told – Romeo and Juliet - Shakespeare’s timeless tale of star-crossed lovers is brilliantly retold through ballet in Kenneth MacMillan’s modern masterpiece for the Royal Ballet, broadcast screening at the Drill Hall Sunday 23 March 2pm.
Celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2025 MacMillan’s heartbreakingly evocative and impassioned choreography and sensational dramatic staging of the famous feuding families of Verona is an acclaimed, iconic ballet classic. Prokofiev's passionate music sets the scene for Shakespeare's most tragic tale of forbidden love. The fabulous Fumi Kaneko and Vadim Muntagirov are Juliet and her Romeo.
