Featuring many memorable arias including the ever-popular ‘Nessun dorma’, this opera of love and revenge is brought to life in a dazzling production that draws on Chinese and Italian theatrical tradition to evoke a richly-imagined, mythical Peking. The staging is one of the most spectacular in the Royal Opera's repertory, with colourful sets and costumes inspired by ancient Chinese culture reflecting the traditional Chinese melodies woven into the score.
