This is the first Grade 1 hurdle of the jumps racing season; it takes its title from the nickname of the Royal Northumberland Fusiliers.
The Fighting Fifth's winners' roll of honour is a Who's Who of hurdling greats. They include recent Champion Hurdler Constitution Hill as well as legendary names from horse racing's past such as Epatante and Buveur d'Air, 2021's renewal dramatically produced the first-ever dead heat, between Nicky Henderson’s hot favourite and defending champion Epatante, and one of the race’s outsiders Not So Sleepy.

There are a variety of tickets available ranging in price from £13.50 - £229.Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
