Newport Music Club is delighted to announce that Sebastian Stanley, internationally acclaimed pianist, returns for an evening of music to Cosy Hall, Newport on Saturday May 17th at 7.00 p.m.
Sebastian, Spanish by birth, moved back to the U.K. at an early age, having soaked up the Andalusian way of life and musical spirit, which has shaped his musical direction. Since graduating from the Royal College of Music in 2008, he has travelled extensively with his performances receiving fabulous reviews around the globe, performing in venues such as St John‘s Smith Square, St Martin in the Fields and the Leipzig Gewandhaus. He has won International competitions including the coveted Chappell Medal at the RCM and the London Emanuel Trophy International Louise Henriette competition in Germany.
Sebastian will be playing music by Schubert, Liszt and Brahms together with Spanish pieces from Albeniz and Granados. We are promised ‘a beautifully lyrical, virtuosic and varied programme’.
