Daniele Piroddi - World Music on a Classical Guitar

Daniele Piroddi - World Music on a Classical Guitar

Daniele Piroddi performs an evening of classical guitar music from around the world, including works by Villa-Lobos (Brazil), de Falla (Spain), Theodorakis (Greece), Yukihiro Yoko (Japan) and more.

Born in Sardinia, Italy, Daniele Piroddi is a classical guitarist whose work fuses deep tradition with modern expression. He studied under Maestro Andrea Dieci and earned his Master’s Degree with 110 cum Laude and Special Mention at the Modena Conservatory. Further studies at the School of Early Music in Venice and the Giulio Regondi Academy in Milan helped shape his refined, historically informed approach to performance.

Now based in London, Daniele focuses on uncovering the expressive breadth of the classical guitar. His repertoire moves fluidly between early music and contemporary works, always guided by a sensitivity to tone color, space, and narrative. For Daniele, each performance is an exploration of sound’s ability to convey imagery and emotion.

His recent concert program, World Music on a Classical Guitar, showcases modern composers who reinterpret folk and traditional material through a contemporary lens. This program reflects Daniele’s ongoing research into how cultural memory, oral traditions, and regional styles can find new life through innovative compositional techniques.
