Historic Waltham Abbey Tours

The next Guided Tour of Waltham Abbey’s heritage sites will be on Saturday 17th May. Our experienced guide Helen Wilson will be leading the tour and telling you all about the town’s very rich heritage. And she will have something very special to tell you when you reach the beautiful building which now houses the town’s Museum, but you will have to join the tour to find out what it is.
The tour starts from the Tourist Information Centre, Town Hall side entrance, EN9 1DG, at 11am and lasts about an hour and a half. You can just turn up on the day, or reserve your place in advance by calling 01992 660336 or emailing tic@walthamabbey-tc.gov.uk
The price of the tour has not increased. Still £5 per adult which includes a Visitor pack and a hot drink and biscuits; £2 for ages 8 to 16; children under 8 free of charge.
Our team are all historians and all experienced guides.
Helen was trained as a Primary School Teacher and then worked as a local authority officer. She volunteers at the Museum and is a member of Chingford Morris Men. She has been leading walks around Waltham Abbey for six years.
