Bowls Big Weekend
Olton Tavern Bowling Club is celebrating its 75th anniversary by holding an Open Day on Saturday 24th May 2025 as part of the Bowls Big Weekend, organised by Bowls England and the British Crown Green Bowling Association. Over 800 clubs across the country will be hosting events in order to give more people the opportunity to try out the great sport of bowling for free. We want to encourage new participants to experience the benefits of bowling, build friendships and be part of something special.
Our club is open to all ages and abilities. We aim to foster a strong supportive community where people can come together, stay active and enjoy the camaraderie that comes from being part of a sports club. So come along on the 24th to have a go for free. No experience is needed - just turn up whenever you like on the day! Whether you come on your own or as part of a group you will be sure to receive a warm welcome. The only thing we ask is that you wear flat, soft soled shoes - trainers are perfect!
