Based on the historic fell race of the same name, the Edale Skyline is an epic journey that should find its way onto the to-do list of any keen hill walker.
At 21 miles and with over 1300 metres of ascent, this is a tough but achievable day challenge to anyone with a reasonable level of fitness and the determination to succeed. Bring those and you can leave the support and navigation to us.
This classic high level adventure takes us through the very best that the Peak District has to offer. We summit the Kinder plateau, with glorious views over the Vale of Edale, and make our way to the dramatic Win Hill Pike. Lose Hill, Back Tor and Mam Tor follow, as we venture along the iconic Great Ridge and up onto Rushup Edge. Finally we swing across Brown Knoll before making our way to Kinder Low and returning to Edale through the incredible rock formations of the Woolpacks. We travel on high moorland paths, along gritstone edges, crossing dramatic ridges, while all the time the landscape unfolds beneath us. Ancient burial mounds and iron age forts are revealed, and your local guides help explain some of the geology, ecology, history and folklore that shapes the Skyline’s course.
