On the 20th of July we will be strolling from the delightful village of Cobham to visit the surrounding villages. The walk will start at Cobham Car Park just off the Street. From the car park we will make our way through the village of Cobham, a place both Charles Dickens and Samuel Pepys knew well. We will make our way past Cobham Hall and the Darnley Mausoleum. From there using the Weald Way and the North Downs Way we will make our way to the outskirts of Halling and onto Luddesdown then back to Cobham. On our walk we will pass through vineyards, see sights of the Medway and walk through meadows and forests. Along the way we will hear tales of: father/son trips gone drastically wrong, a cricketing institution created out of failure and a building that the Archbishop of Canterbury thought was far too pagan.
