Our live music and food evenings are back at the Heritage Centre! Join us for an entertaining evening of fantastic live music and food on the last Friday of every month.
This month’s local performers Kiddars Luck – three musicians who hail from the North East and specialise in traditional music from the region. They also write their own songs and tunes.
Band members are: John Dixon – vocals, guitar, 5 string and tenor banjos, mandola, concertina and keyboards, Colin McLelland – vocals, guitar, mandolin, whistles, flute, and Mike Davidson – vocals, 12 string guitar
As volunteers at Beamish Open Air Museum they host the ‘Pit Village Music Hall’ a celebration of the North East in tunes, songs and dancing, entertaining children and adults alike with their unique brand of local folk music. They have played at numerous music festivals including the Durham Miner’s Gala, The Woodhorn Mining Museum, Tanfield Railway, The Tommy Armstrong Society, Gateshead Community Festivals, The White Room Music Café and here at the Land of Oak & Iron
