Get Growning - Seed & Plant Swap
Land of Oak & Iron are excited to host this year’s Plant & Seed Swap day – a great little event for those who like to ‘Get Growing’.
Join us in and around the Heritage Centre Courtyard with like-minded people to swap and share plants, cuttings and seeds.
Simply bring along a plant, seedling or seeds and swap for another from our ‘Plant & Seed Swap’ table.
There will also be a couple of stalls selling plants on the day too with Oaklands Garden Centre with outdoor plants, Plantopia (fantastic house plants, pots and more loveliness) and Scotswood Community Garden too.
Musicians ‘Northern Roots’ will be here too entertaining with some canny tunes from around the North East.
Children can join in the fun with planting a seed to grow at home and discovering wildlife facts on the trail.
No need to book, free to attend!
Our café will be open for breakfasts, lunch, snacks and a range of hot and cold drinks to enjoy.
(Please note only food and drink bought from our café may be consumed on our site, including the Courtyard, planters and benches).
