The eight cellists of the WSO play Bachianas Brasileiras No. 1 by Villa-Lobos, a piece dedicated to Pablo Casals; also in the programme is a Bach concerto for violin and oboe (with soloists from the orchestra); and Symphony No. 3 by Louise Farrenc.
