Celebrate the height of summer with an exclusive floral arrangement workshop at The Ivy Exeter on Thursday, 31st July from 4pm to 6pm. Join local florist Ed Moorman Owner of Trugs florist in Exeter for Blooms and Bubbles at The Ivy, a chic afternoon event blending botanical artistry with refreshing aperitifs.
Guests will be welcomed with a signature botanical cocktail The Elderflower Collins or a refreshing floral mocktail before indulging in The Ivy’s carefully curated aperitif menu, perfectly paired with the creativity and calm of hands-on flower arranging. Stay on and enjoy soulful tunes from The Ivy’s house band following the workshop.
Under Ed’s expert guidance, participants will craft a stunning garden-style floral centrepiece, designed using seasonal varieties inspired by this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.
Expect a sophisticated palette featuring dark coral peonies, fragrant deep purple stocks, soft pink larkspurs, pale pink Sweet Avalanche roses, delicate light purple clematis, fresh lime green Alchemilla Mollis, and refreshing eucalyptus.
This workshop offers the perfect summer treat for friends, couples, or solo guests seeking an elegant, immersive floral experience. Guests will learn how to expertly arrange these blooms to create a statement piece to wow visitors to their home housed in a stylish galvanised metal vase, professionally wrapped and packaged to ensure your creation travels safely.
Guests can enjoy a selection of nibbles from the aperitif menu which is complemented by an elegant assortment of light bites including mini crab cakes with lemon aioli, beef tartare on crostini, wild mushroom arancini with truffle mayo, and marinated olives with fresh herbs — the perfect flavours to delight the palate without overwhelming the senses.
