Britain's What's On Event Guide
A night of Northern Soul
Every other month I arrange with different DJ's from around the country to come along to the club & play records from their collections.
These tunes over the past 60 years have been rediscovered by collectors, enthusiasts, dealers & DJ's who relentlessly search through mountains of old records & in some cases original studio tapes in the hope of finding a brilliant tune that has something special that makes you want to dance with a passion.
Some of this music over the past 45 yrs has become Northern Soul Classics.
For this particular event
Ted Massey would of been DJing with us on this night, he sadly died a few months back.
Ted was a friend from afar that I shared the same taste in music with, we enjoyed a good chit chat, same liking of films & TV shows, plus our sharing our knowledge & the enjoyment of listening to Soul Music.
Ted was an excellent DJ who gave us the opportunity to hear some of the best tunes from the Rare Soul & Northern scene.
Ted will be greatly missed.
This event is still going ahead, not as a tribute or one of sadness, but in fond memory of Ted.
I asked his friend & mine Kevin Higham to be with us to say a few words, spin some records & reflect on the good times.
We will also be joined by local DJ's
John Whyman, Jon Goodrum & Arthur Woodhead, plus myself to get you all onto the dance floor.
It will be an uplifting night of gratitude, thanks & happiness for knowing Ted & sharing the good times & music that we all enjoy.

Private Bar / superb wooden dance floor/ seating with tables / wheelchair access / all facilities are on the ground floor.
Free car park for approx 36 cars.
Club is situated in a zoned area for on road parking, so be careful.
