Take a summer evening voyage through the fiery rhythms, vibrant dances, and poetic soul of Spanish piano music, in this evocative instalment of The Grand Tour concert series—each evening dedicated to the music of a different country. Performed in the intimate, candlelit setting of St Mary le Strand, one of London’s most stunning Baroque churches, this recital invites you to experience the rich musical heritage of Spain like never before.
Acclaimed Spanish pianist Sofía Medina presents a spellbinding programme of works by Soler, de Falla, and Granados—music steeped in tradition, colour, and character. From Soler’s elegant 18th-century sonatas to the expressive dances and lyrical miniatures of Granados and de Falla, this is a celebration of Spanish piano writing in all its diversity.
Enjoy the performance with a complimentary glass of Sangria and allow the candlelit setting to transport you to the heart of Iberia — whether you're discovering classical music for the first time or returning as a devoted listener.
