Following her scintillating concerto performance with St John's Chamber Orchestra earlier this year, Xiaowen Shang returns to Norden Farm Centre for the Arts to give a recital which reflects her interest in 18th century keyboard music.

Nominated as one of BBC Music Magazine’s Rising Stars of 2024, Xiaowen Shang’s recent career highlights include performing at the BBC Proms with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, a duo performance with Steven Isserlis at Apsley House, and appearances as both a solo pianist and harpsichordist at Wigmore Hall with Brett Dean, Lawrence Power, and the Nash Ensemble in April.
Her programme for Maidenhead includes a mighty early Sonata by Beethoven, some charming pieces by the leading French Baroque composer Couperin, and Ravel’s virtuoso tribute to great predecessor.
