As we move through summer – it’s a great time to enjoy the delights of bird watching in the Derwent Valley.
Situated in the lower Derwent Valley this section of the Land of Oak and Iron is a mixed landscape of woodland, meadows, riverside and historic monuments, along with an abundance of wildlife.
Grab a take away cuppa and start your day off with local ornithologist Michael Turner on the next of our popular guided bird walks through this rich and diverse landscape – Michael will help you identify the rich birdlife by sight and sound as we work our way through the seasons.
Please bring binoculars if you have them and dress appropriately with stout footwear, waterproofs may be necessary depending on the weather. Sorry, no dogs please.
The café will be open on your return should you fancy breakfast, brunch or a sweet treat after your walk.
Please note – tickets for our workshops, sessions and courses are non refundable. We may at our discretion transfer your ticket to another similar event.
