A Newmarket care home is getting into the spirit of summer with its very own sports day celebration.
On Friday 11th July from 3.30pm-6.30pm, Care UK’s Kentford Manor, on Jeddah Way, will be opening its doors for an afternoon of friendly competition and community fun.
Guests can enjoy the lively atmosphere and participate in classic sports day games, such as egg-and-spoon races, tug of war, and target challenges, with the opportunity to win their own gold medals.
After an afternoon of sports, guests can unwind with live music from local performer Hedda Carlsen. Originally from Norway, Hedda brings a mix of jazz, pop, opera, and musical theatre to her solo set.
Visitors can also join residents and their relatives to enjoy a sizzling BBQ in the Kentford Manor gardens, as well as refreshing sweet treats from Kelly’s Ice Creams.
Kentford Manor provides full-time residential, dementia and nursing care, as well as short-term respite care. Designed to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives, while also promoting independence, the care home incorporates plenty of space for leisure activities and hobbies. The building has been configured into a number of suites to facilitate the creation of close-knit communities and encourage social interaction among the residents.
