A care home in Wantage is inviting those considering care for themselves or a loved one to visit for a special summer open day – complete with music, games, and the chance to explore the home’s state-of-the-art facilities.
On Thursday 17th July, from 11am–3pm, Charlton Lodge, on Buttercup Road, will be hosting a sunny open day with a vintage twist, complete with live music, garden games and sizzling barbecue bites.
Guests can relax in the garden while enjoying traditional summer games and sample food from the barbecue, freshly prepared by head chef Marcella Field. The afternoon will include a special performance from 1940s-inspired vocal trio The D Day Dollies, guaranteed to get toes tapping.
Visitors can also meet the team, speak with residents and their families, and take a tour of Charlton Lodge’s luxury facilities – including a cinema, hair salon and café – to get a real feel for life in the home.
Charlton Lodge is a new, state-of the-art care home providing full-time residential and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. Designed to enable residents to live enjoyable and fulfilling lives, the home has its very own cinema, hair salon and café, along with plenty of space – both indoors and out – for relaxation and recreation.
