Step into a Wonderland of Summer Fun at Ightham Mote, 19 July – 31 August.
This summer, Ightham Mote invites you to tumble down the rabbit hole into a world of imagination, creativity, and outdoor adventure. Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, our Summer of Play transforms the gardens and grounds into a magical setting for families to explore, play, and make memories together.
Across themed activity zones—set on the far end and the North Lawn—you’ll find a host of whimsical games and challenges. Try your hand at flamingo croquet, follow the White Rabbit’s trail, or simply enjoy the open space to run, laugh, and play.
Every weekend, the North Lawn comes alive with Mad Hatter’s tea parties. Bring your own picnic and join the fun as costumed characters bring the story to life in a playful, interactive setting that’s perfect for families and little adventurers.
New this year, we’re also hosting weekly Alice-themed craft sessions, where children can get creative and take home a handmade memento of their Wonderland experience.
And don’t miss the new and improved natural play area, where kids can climb, balance, and explore in a space designed to spark curiosity and connection with nature.
