The Shire Workshops, Wilbarston LE16 8FE
Come along to this relaxed, informative Saturday afternoon class to learn basic techniques in wire jewellery making, with lots of tips and tricks to help you - no experience necessary!
You will practise using chain nose pliers, cutters and loopers to create geometric shapes, swirls and spirals. You can then use these shapes to get creative with your own earrings, pendants, bracelet components and rings. We will look at how to make jump rings and simple closures for your jewellery, and you will be able to add texture to your pieces.
As well as making your own jewellery, your wirework skills will enable you to take existing jewellery to reform into new pieces (harvesting bits and pieces from charity shops is great fun!), and maybe even repair jewellery that needs some tlc.
All materials provided. Allergen notice: We will be using silver-coated copper wire.
Free parking on site. This is an adult craft session, accompanied younger learners age 10+ welcome.
Please get in touch at nixiemade@outlook.com if you have any questions.
