If you are wanting to find a choir you'll like singing with us in the Rock Choir.
The Wakefield Rock Choir is led by local vocal coach Ainjiel-Shaolee Clark. The Wakefield branch is part of the unique national singing family that is Rock Choir. Whilst retaining our focus on Wakefield community causes and events, all the local West Yorkshire choirs come together in regional and even national groups for bigger events, such performing en masse at the 10,000 seat Wembley Arena, achieving album sales that enter the charts, local flashmobs and Guinness World Records and helping to raise millions for charity. Joining this incomparable musical national treasure is very easy, there are no auditions, there's no need to read music and we're open to everyone in your local community!
You've probably heard us singing in and around West Yorkshire, or seen one of our many TV appearances, and never thought you'd have to courage to get up on stage and sing! But the unique teaching methods at the Wakefield Rock Choir, along with no need to audition or read music, mean that we are accessible to all. Come along and try us out for FREE at a taster session, and experience singing with your local 'exceptional' Rock Choir for yourself.
Here is a quote about our choir - 'Rock Choir and the people in it have made me feel Happy, Energised, Accepted, Confident, Supported and Liked. It has also re-kindled my love of music and singing.' - Fe (Rock Choir member)
