Hertfordshire has long had a starring role in the history of British Cinema. From the Golden Age of film to today’s blockbuster productions, this county has been a hub for filmmaking, bringing countless stories to life and being a key player on the national and international film stage.
At the heart of preserving the legacy of film in Britain, the British Film Institute National Archive has recently been exploring the history of Hertfordshire Filmmaking and wants to highlight it, celebrate it, and present it to the local community, tying the people to the work and recognising their contributions.
Therefore, we are hosting an ONLINE DROP-IN SESSION for local members of the Hertfordshire community to come together, discuss Hertfordshire filmmaking history and share stories, thoughts and feelings about the contributions Hertfordshire has made to the world of film.
Whether you are a film enthusiast, local historian or have memories and thoughts to share, please come along and join us for what is sure to be interesting, relaxed and inclusive space for all!
