FREE taster session with the Irvine Rock Choir

If you have ever wondered 'are there any community choirs near me?' then the answer is firmly yes!

The Irvine Rock Choir is led by North Ayrshire based musician Lauren McGarrigle. People who have already joined the choir, who hail from Irvine and further afield in North Ayrshire often have never sung before or had any vocal tuition. Once you join the choir you will find you learn the songs by rote from a brilliant set of resources and you will be amazed how quickly you go from 'not sure' to 'performance ready'. The songs are uniquely arranged to make songs easy to sing yet still challenge you in places.

Whether you only sing in the shower or along to your car radio, or whether you see yourself belting out a showstopper at Wembley Arena (which we did! - for the ITV1 documentary 'The Choir that Rocks'), there's a place for you in the Irvine Rock Choir. With no singing audition or need to read music, anyone can come along to a FREE taster session and see what all the fuss is about!

Here is a quote about our choir - 'Rock Choir has given me a new dimension in life - I joined after my dad died as I knew I needed something new to focus on. I come down to choir on the train from home and in the winter waiting around at a freezing station is not very appealing when its lovely and warm at home, but I never want to miss a session no matter how tired, cold or grumpy I feel. When my husband picks me up he always says the same thing - I am always bubbly and happy and looking forward to the next week.' - Liz (Rock Choir Member)

Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
