The Durham Rock Choir is led by vocal teacher Rob Slater. We support a number of local charities, raising money and awareness around County Durham and as a choir we also join up with other branches of Rock Choir to support national charities such as Comic Relief, Missing People and Refuge with flash mobs, fundraising events and gigs.
We meet to socialise and practise once a week and you can come along to any rehearsal that is convenient to you for your FREE taste of what singing with your local choir is like. Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
