When people think about matching beer with food, cheese ploughmans, fish & chips and steak & kidney pies often come to mind but beer can offer much more than that.
This independently accredited course will open your mind to new combinations and enable you to create your own beer and food menus. But you can use the same techniques for any drink and food pairings.
It involves tasting five beers and five different foods and will include vegetables, meat, cheese and chocolate.
By the end of this training you will be able to
-Explain how we taste
- State the 3 C's approach to beer & food matching
- Demonstrate that knowledge by a practical session of matching beer with foods and explain why some matches works and others do not.

At the end of the course, you will have the option of either taking a short quiz, which if you pass you will receive a Certificate of Competence or you can choose not to take the quiz and gain a Certificate of Attendance. The course is accredited by People 1st, an internationally recognised training company.
