A care home in Weymouth is opening its doors to the local community for a family-friendly festivity.
On Wednesday 20th August from 2pm-4pm, Care UK’s Anning House, on Cross Road, is inviting people to celebrate summer in style with a fun-filled afternoon of food and entertainment.
On the day, visitors will have the opportunity to tour the home’s extensive garden, while bopping away to live music. Guests can also try their luck at a tombola to win a host of prizes.
Those attending can also feast on a delicious barbecue prepared by the home’s talented Head Chef, Jeremy Davis, followed by a sweet treat from the ice cream van.
Heidi Williams, General Manager at Anning House, said: “We can’t wait to open our doors and welcome the local community to join us for our garden party this August.
“Our previous summer events have been a hit with locals, so the team has been hard at work to organise a day to remember. We hope to see lots of families, friends and neighbours come along to share in the fun.
“Maintaining strong relationships with the community is an important part of our ethos, and hosting our summer garden party provides us with a wonderful opportunity to welcome the people of Weymouth into our home.
Anning House provides full-time residential, nursing and dementia care, as well as short-term respite care. The home incorporates plenty of space for leisure activities and hobbies, and has its own cinema, hair and beauty salon and pub. The layout of the building is configured into a series of individual suites, each having a dedicated lounge/dining room to facilitate the creation of close-knit communities.
