Workshop: Stitched Panel Inspired by Georgio Morandi

The paintings of Italian artist Georgio Morandi demonstrate the simple beauty of light on forms with subtle colouration and deft brushwork. He captures the essence of simple objects and familiar landscapes that exude a mellow and intimate serenity. This course is for those who wish to explore the work of Morandi and to be inspired to make textured surfaces with small scale stitching, working in the quiet neutral colour palette as shown in his paintings. Suitable for all levels.
Materials are included in the workshop price, but you may want to bring your own sewing kit and some fabrics to play with as well.
There will be a lunch break in the middle of the session in the QPAC coffee bar. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase but you may also want to bring your own lunch with you.
