Goodworth Clatford Art and Craft Weekend
The weekend will showcase the works of professional artists and artisans alongside pieces from an array of talented amateur exhibitors, with many of the most popular artists from last year’s hugely successful show returning, together with a host of exciting new artists and artisans.
What makes the weekend that little bit different to other local shows, however, is the standard of work on display. The organisers look to showcase exhibitors at the higher end of the creative ladder, while keeping prices below those of comparable gallery exhibitions. It’s clearly a successful formula, and word has spread, with this year’s show attracting a mouth-watering variety of creative talent, including paintings by top-class professional artists. Crafts include jewellery, ceramics and sculptures, woven goods, needle felt work, willow baskets and sculptures, textile art, hand painted glassware, candles and home fragrances, hand bound journals and sketchbooks, metal scuplture, woodwork and jesmonite crafts. An ideal opportunity to treat yourself or buy beautiful gifts for your loved ones this Christmas, or indeed for any special event in their lives.
Entry is free each day, and when you need to rest and take the weight off while you check your gift list, there are home-baked scones and cakes, coffee and a good old builders’ brew to help you recharge your batteries.
There will also be a prize draw where you may be lucky and win a prize donated by one of our artists.
