St Andrew’s Church’s ‘All Weather’ Fete 2025

This annual fete is regarded as one of the best traditional village fetes in Wiltshire and Dorset, as well as being one of the best-attended with wonderful views across the countryside to the Chase. In 2024 the Fete attracted nearly 2,000 visitors, drawn from across the other local communities and a good number from further afield. Over 200 villagers from the Donhead St Andrew are involved in putting on the Fete.
A 40+ vehicle Vintage and Classic Car & Bike Show and the Annual Dog Show add to the interest and the fun of the afternoon.
There is a non-stop BBQ, beer & cider tent and cream teas and there’s lots of seating to enjoy music from The Sunset Cafe Stompers.
Selling stalls at the Fete are always very well-stocked and include cakes & biscuits, preserves & chutneys, plants & gardening, fashion & accessories, toys & games, books, paintings & prints,
There are amusements for children and families including a duck shoot, coconut shy, skittle alley and a punch and just show. There’s a Bottle Tombola, and a Live Auction of seasoned logs.
It all adds up to an afternoon of fun and enjoyment for all ages and the Fete supports very worthy county and local causes.
This year, the local causes and charities include both Wiltshire and Dorset Air Ambulance Services, Salisbury Hospice, Tisbus, Happy Gathering, a church school in Cueibet, South Sudan and St Andrew’s Church to support its work in the local community.
Come along whatever the weather; a large part of the Fete is under cover.
