The World of Gilbert and Sullivan

There will be a treat in store for G&S fans on Saturday 13 September when 'The Wandering Minstrels' (www.wanderingminstrels.org.uk) visit St. Botolph's Church, Stow Longa, near Kimbolton, Cambs for THE WORLD OF GILBERT AND SULLIVAN. They will sings, act and dance their way through many of the Savoy Operas including 'The Pirates of Penzance', 'HMS Pinafore', 'The Sorcerer', 'The Gondoliers', 'The Yeomen of the Guard', 'Utopia, Limited', 'Ruddigore' and 'Patience'. Artistes taking part in this concert are Alexandra Ferrari, Emma Stratton, Charles Mills, Stephen Godward and Tim Hurst-Brown, with Peter Hewitt at the piano. The concert is in aid of St. Botolph's Church. The evening will consist of two hours of Savoy favourites, combining the biting wit of W.S.Gilbert and the enchanting music of Sir Arthur Sullivan. The artistes will be dressed in period costume and the songs and scenes performed in traditional style. Don't miss what promises to be a fun-filled evening!
