Mark Forsyth - Rhyme and Reason - Book Talk

Mark Forsyth (AKA The Inky Fool) is a writer, blogger and journalist who explores the history and quirks of the English language. His latest book is a short history of poetry (and people) for people who don't really read poetry.

Some people worry that they don't appreciate poetry; but English poetry wasn't written to be appreciated it was written to be enjoyed. For six centuries people have been reading poetry for enjoyment - for fun, for romance, for religion and for entertainment - and this is a book about those people.

Mark's other books include The Etymologicon, The Horologicon, The Elements of Eloquence, and A Christmas Cornucopia. He has visited Rossiter Books several times to give talks and is extremely entertaining!
