Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Ruth O’Shea - violin & Linda Stocks - cello) play a Café Concert on the first Thursday of each month (Feb-Dec) at 1.15pm at Christ Church: informal feel-good music events with a pop-up café open from c12.45pm where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes and listen to live music.
September’s programme is inspired by trees and forests, with music by Dvorak (Silent Woods), Sibelius (Birch and Spruce), Massenet (Lime Trees), and the beautiful folk-song idyll ‘The Banks of Green Willow’ by George Butterworth.
Concerts last c45mins and entrance is by donation. An RSVP via our website is appreciated, but you can just turn up - maybe bring a cushion for the pew!
