Heritage Open Day: Out in the town, most of us never really look up - but now, this competition certainly will make you - and add surprise and reward as you look above the shop fronts to the history of 500 years above! Dorking is very fortunate in having some of the finest old buildings in the County - and most are in our three main streets - and this competition asks you to identify the shops beneath these excellent examples of Middle-Age, Tudor, Georgian, and Victorian upper storeys.
This competition is open to everyone passing by and will run throughout the entirety of the 2025 Heritage Open Days festival - September 12-21st. To enter and try your luck, please find the entry form link on the websites of The Dorking Society & Hello Dorking. The winner will be drawn at random from all entries following on 22 September.
