Discover St Mary's, Tarleton

Heritage Open Day: Come and see this rarely open Church and the wonderful architecture within! This picturesque early Georgian chapel has a lovely unspoiled interior. It was built in 1717, although in 1824 the small tower was heightened and the pretty domed bellcote added.

The church retains many original fittings including box pews, open benches, stone flagged floors, a reading desk and a west gallery that extends along the south wall, all lit by clear glass in large round-headed windows.

The pretty churchyard contains some handsome eighteenth and nineteenth-century headstones.

Join us this Heritage Open Days festival for a chance to see this rarely open church.
