Heritage Open Day: The Victorian Gothic Church of St Alban the Martyr designed by John Loughborough Pearson has spectacular stone vaulting, stained glass by Henry Payne, Sidney Meteyard, John Hardman and others, and an Arts and Crafts reredos by Kate and Myra Bunce. Opened in 1881 the Grade II*-listed Church of St Alban the Martyr is normally only open for church services.
