St Martins Church, Salisbury

Heritage Open Day: Historic Church and Tower open. Explore bell-ringing. Organ and Recorder Music. Refreshments. St Martin's is the Parish Church of Sarum St Martin. It predates its famous neighbour Salisbury Cathedral by more than a century, but is itself relatively unknown. An opportunity to wander round this beautiful building at your leisure and learn something of it's past.

Find out about the exciting World of Traditional English Bellringing and how bells are rung. The Tower has a fine peal of eight bells cast between 1582 and 1990, many from the Salisbury Foundry which closed in 1731.
