Cranleigh Cottage Hospital Project
Heritage Open Day: Exhibition of the first Cottage hospital in England opened in 1859.The hospital closed in 2007 The Cottage Hospital was opened 1859 in a 15th century timber framed building, currently closed but will open to the public by August 2026. We have received a grant of over £780K from the heritage lottery fund to open a community hub; the exhibition will show the history of the hospital and the building which is one of Surrey's oldest buildings.
