Explore the old 119-year-old, former Carnegie Library

Heritage Open Day: Explore the old 119-year-old, former Carnegie Library, now part of our Studio community, on a self led tour of the building. To celebrate Heritage Open Days, we’ll be hosting two special open days at The Art House - opening parts of our building so visitors can explore the old 119-year-old, former Carnegie Library, now part of our Studio community.

The Carnegie Library side of our Studios showcases many of the building’s beautiful original features. Pick up a map to discover the original features of the former Library, including the book lift, Damascus School tiles and restored architecture. Learn about the building's history through the 20th and 21st centuries, whilst also exploring images of refurbishments and floor plans.

Heritage Open Day is also a great time to visit the latest exhibitions in our galleries, as well as to stop by our Shop and Coffee house which will be open throughout the day.
