Basildon Park

Heritage Open Day: Between Monday 15 to Thursday 18, discover 400 acres of historic parkland and gardens with an 18th-century house at its heart. The impressive mansion and picturesque pleasure grounds will be open to explore. The tearoom will be open for refreshments. Basildon Park is a cinematic property featuring stunning Palladian architecture and rolling landscapes. With extraordinary vision, Lord and Lady Iliffe (who bought the property in the 1950s), brought Basildon Park back to life, restoring the architecture and acquiring a collection of fine furnishings. The wooded parkland offers glorious seasonal colour, while the landscape has been carefully restored to offer wonderful views, peaceful trails and picnic places, with areas for children to run and play.

For Heritage Open Days, join us at Basildon Park with the entry fee waived from Monday 15th to Thursday 18th September.
