Bagot's Castle

Heritage Open Day: Explore this hidden gem of a castle dating back to the 1100s. Built in the 1380s by Sir William Bagot. Restoration works were completed to consolidate the remains of the ruin in 2012. Set in 19 acres of pastureland with woodland paths, river walks and ponds. On the site are trails and activities for children, six Bagot goats, a reconstructed 18th-century summerhouse and a WWII tank test track.
