Ellington Park History and Heritage

Heritage Open Day: Ellington Park history and heritage day featuring information about the park with special focus on our beautifully restored Bandstand which will host a local choir and our new Architecture Trail which explores various structures, past and present. Along with the information about the park, which has been a public park since 1893, this year's theme is Architecture and we have developed a trail for you to walk around the park and imagine the people and buildings that were once here and those that still remain and see the indelible footprint they have left for us to discover.
There will also be the miniature steam train running from our own park station Ellington Halt, courtesy of RaDMEC.Co.
